Asian Ambriel!

I had fun today. Finished a few more OOAK Ambriel’s including this Asian version. MHD Designs did this fabulous ensemble. I did the face up and put it all together. Let me know what you think.

Christmas Sale is up!

Aloha!
I just finished putting up my Christmas Sale. At least most of it. The Ambriel’s keep selling so quickly I have to do another and then get her up soon. I also sold 3 of my smaller dolls within the first hour I got it up. More since then. And I have a big ad coming out soon. So, I just want to be sure everyone getting my RSS feed knows about the sale so they don’t miss out. There are actually a couple of dolls in the Available Dolls Album that are not up yet and I have to find time to do that in the evenings. I expected to last night but ended up suddenly quite sick so I went to bed at 8PM, something I never do. I’m a night owl and get so much done late nights I need to be. But not last night. However, I was waiting to announce here and the dolls are selling quickly and I don’t want my faithful collectors and those who follow my blog to miss out. So I’m telling you now and then I have to get to work on my new fun project for Idex. I wish I could share more but this one is a big secret. I can hint though. She is 18cm tall, but can grow a bit taller and is really out of the box for me! Inspiration for her came from a project I am doing with Ambriel for Idex. And, as always I will share with my list first, so join if you haven’t already.

Pre-Ordered Ambriel's are all on their way home!

Got it all done! So I celebrated by completing another One of a Kind Ambriel. All the pre-ordered Ambriels as basics, with face ups and LE’s are now done and have been shipped! So if you don’t have yours and ordered one, you should get it shortly. If you want one, there are still Basics in Pink Sugar and Shimmer as well as a couple of one off OOAK versions on my website now and a more in progress. I am now preoccupied with my projects for 2012 to reveal at Idex. If you stay tuned here, you may get a sneak peak or two over the coming weeks. I have some new dolls planned, already sculpted. And akin progress sculpt too. I love sculpting, so I am a happy camper at the moment! I am on a couple of big deadlines for magazines, so I have to go get busy again!

This doll is Mandarin made from my Brown Sugar Ambriel sculpt and ready for a fun Halloween! Her outfit is by Charie Wilson. As always there are more photos of her and all my currently available dolls in my
Available Dolls Album.

Guess what I found?

Sugar Babies I did not know I even had! Yes, I am organized or fairly so for an artist. But I had apparently put some away and had no idea I still had these. I found complete Baby Alice, Chelsea Rose, and Leilani (as the little hula girl in brown sugar resin) as well as a couple Leilani in fair skin in PJ sets as baldy babies. So cute! I forget how cute these pudgy little monkeys are! Anyway, I thought I only had 3-4 of 2 sculpts left as blanks and was holding them back to offer just at shows as special features like my sweet little clowns for MDC. But in cleaning out. Not wanting to, no time really, but looking desperately and in hard to reach places for something else I did need now - I found this! It’s like Christmas. And on that note, I will be putting them up in my store as soon as I find time at great deals just to clear them out of here. I’m still keeping my basics to show off at shows. And I actually love the little Leilani’s to play the youngest or baby in sibling sets. But these are already completed as the versions above and I’ve been done with them for some time now so if you know someone who missed out and wants one let them know to check out my Online Store soon.

Great Hair Day!

Lovin the hair! I so wish I had this hair! God even gave me a son with it! Maybe someday through him I’ll get a granddaughter with this fabulous hair. But for now I’ve blessed this Ambriel with it. Don’t you just love it! And here’s this week’s OOAK creation for your enjoyment! Hope you love her too. I’ve named her Ambriel the Wench! Isn’t that what Pirates called women? Back to work!

PS: There are more photos of her in my
Current Offerings Album or will be soon.

Almost home!

I am looking at my last week of painting, costuming and delivering the Ambriel’s ordered. And frankly, I still have plenty of Ambriel for anyone interested! Contact me at bobergemann@mac.com or else see www.BergemannDolls.com! But I am now sculpting again in the evenings as my family watches TV. And sadly, I can not share much as this time it’s all a big secret! But I’m having fun! If you have not yet seen my newest 18cm Tiny BJD Alexandria, check out my Current Offerings as she is very limited and will be gone soon I’m sure as she has been quite sought after!

Wondering what you think?

Well, I can’t exactly say I’m on the home stretch yet. But, by the end of next week, I know I will be and that is great news for me. For my doll collectors, the news is I really think I am actually truly DONE with doing Limited Edition Complete Artist dolls now. I did them following in the footsteps of some fabulous artist’s I love like Kaye Wiggs & Paulette Goodreau. DSC04282But, now I think it’s time to veer off into doing my own thing. I’ve never been much good at following in paths already well worn by others anyway. Meaning from now on, I will do one off’s from each of my sculpts as complete dolls. And simply not promise even 4 or 6 of a given completed artist creadoll. Frankly, I put just as much time and energy into each complete doll whether it is one of a kind, like I intend to continue making, or a small limited edition. The problem honestly is time and creative fatigue. I sincerely feel the need to stick with my first love. My dolls are only as fabulous as my love of doll making that moment as I make each one. I’ve seen this clearly now. So, if I hope to continue loving what I do while still having time to take good care of my precious family and enjoy life, I need to complete just one truly fabulous Artist Original Doll at a time and never promise another like that one. Otherwise I find myself compromising and my joy in doll making waning. I’d much rather move on to the next doll from any one given sculpt and make her just as fabulous with a fresh idea. In the meantime finding more time to sculpt. Which is and always has been my first love as a doll maker and artist. So, I will offer Limited Edition sculpts, but only one offs of that sculpt if I can help it from now on. I’m open and interested in hearing what you all think. So let me know at bobergemann@mac.com

Bo
PS: Take a look at my Current Offerings for photos of recent dolls.

Still painting!

Aloha everyone! Hope you are doing well. I am. Just keep painting painting painting! I love Nemo! Do you? OK, now I’m actually getting a bit loopy. It’s 1:30AM here and I thin I need to go to bed now. Just wanted say a quick hello and let you know I got some new dolls up in my online store if anyone is interested. I know it’s been pretty poorly stocked for some time now since I’ve been so busy with other things. So take a look.

New LOVE OF MY LIFE! Alexis

Hey everyone! I have been painting Ambriel for the LE’s, over and over again. So I let myself do at least one OOAK start to finish amidst 6-10 LE’s just to keep my spirits up. Anyway, here she is for the first batch nearly done of Ambriel LE’s which I will ship next week. Her name is Alexis because when I finished her she reminded me of the daughter from the show Castle that we watch. Or my family watches while I sculpt and or answer email and work on my websites. Hope you love her too!Alexis by Bo BergemannCheck out my Facebook for more photos. I hope to have a slideshow of her up here or there or both sometime tomorrow!

So what would you like to win?

I am taking input on my prize offering. I have several possibilities in my mind. But I’m truly curious what you would like to win? So, take the time to enter, get some friends to enter too. And everyone tell me what you’d like to win. It will give me something to ponder while I paint face ups! I have so much fun in store for 2012. The ideas abound in my head! But as I close out 2011, I want to give something away as I grow my Collector’s list, gain new comments since my desktop crashed and I lost most I had so carefully stored through this past year and learn more about you - my collectors. So, here’s your chance. Talk back, speak up please. I will not post anything anyone says or tattle on anyone I promise. At least not crediting you. If I share it will be in vague and anonymous masses, OK. I want BOTH kinds of feedback. Encouragement and where you’d like to see growth or change. After all I want to grow and change and get better. So, if you have something to say, now is the time to share it with me at bobergemann@mac.com.

I'm so excited! It works! Contest to Celebrate!

Ok, now I’m back in business. My regular website www.bergemanndolls.com is up and working correctly and so is my brand new blog! Thanks for your patience! I have the last few basic bjd’s in my new Ambriel MSD sized doll that were ordered on Pre-Sale ready to ship tomorrow morning. And I am working to paint, costume and ship the LE’s and basics with face ups promised next. Everything is on track and I will try not to bore you. I will try to sneak in something occasionally interesting while I also try to get all the work done I promise. For starters I’m running a contest. There are a couple of ways to enter. First, if you’ve bought a doll from me, just send a photo of my doll in your home with other dolls, family, your furniture, however you have it displayed and then add a few words telling me what you think of it to bobergemann@mac.com. I am collecting collector photos and comments. The second way to enter is join my Facebook page by liking it from your Facebook and then go to any photo in any of my albums, like and comment on that. There is a 3rd and final way to enter for anyone else interested, just take a look at any photo on this blog and send me your email address to join my Collector’s Ohana List with your opinions on that doll. Stay tuned, the prize will be announced here soon. So tell your friends to write to join my Collector’s Ohana list and get ready for fun! The more the merrier!
Mahalo,
Bo Bergemann
PS: I’m also posting some fab dolls at sale prices soon and putting up a 99 cent Ebay auction. All in my spare time in the evenings, so keep checking back over this next couple of weeks as I work to complete and deliver my promised Ambriel LE’s and basics with face ups and I promise to keep things interesting amidst all the work!

Brand New Blog!

Ok, so this is my 3rd beginning! They say 3rd times a charm! I sure hope so. My desktop crashed killing my blog along with a lot of other things I NEEDED! Or so I thought till I lost them. Which brings up an important point. Sometimes new is better in life. Other times old and dearly loved, what we are used to, things with memories and emotional value attached to them are better, right? Well, I have no choice at this point, so my blog is NEW, BRAND SPANKING NEW AND I PROMISE WILL BE MORE FABULOUS IN EVERY WAY!

But the first thing I’m going to share is that for 2012 I will be “looking back AND looking forward.” Just a hint for one of my two fabulous 2012 themes. For the rest of October my hands will be full completing all the Ambriel LE’s and basics with face ups I’ve promised in addition to redoing everything I need on my computer that crashed from scratch. So everyone who bought Ambriel as the Trapeze Artist LE, Blue Clown LE, Ella Enchanted, or a basic with a face up - I have the dolls and am working on face ups and costuming for the next couple of weeks. Then I’ll begin shipping. I already shipped most of the basics ordered. I do have more basics and with face ups available as well as a couple of OOAK versions on my website now. So don’t dismay if you have not already gotten one! Just check out my website at
www.BergemannDolls.com.

Thank you for your patience as I begin anew with my blog. My website is back up now though there is not much available. I will put more up as I find time I promise! And don’t forget to feel free to email me anytime and join my
Facebook Page and my Collectors Ohana if you’d like to be sure to be kept up to date!
